cancellation National Shooting Complex Texas Texas State Championship

Texas State Sporting Clays Shoot Canceled

With a worsening of the COVID-19 status of San Antonio and the National Shooting Complex over the past few days, we regret that we must cancel our plans to host the Texas State Sporting Clays Championship.

The San Antonio area has seen a marked increase in COVID-19 cases recently, resulting in stricter local guidelines for events. Over the past 72 hours, a mandate from the mayor requires approval for large events, and Bexar County residents have been advised to stay at home. Also, two members of our NSC staff, as well as the spouse of an employee, have now tested positive for COVID-19.

The health and safety of our staff and members is our number one priority. In these current conditions, we no longer have confidence in our ability to safely host an event of this size without putting our staff, guests, and families at risk.

Please be assured that we have tried everything in our power to proceed with the Texas State Sporting Clays Championship, and it was a very difficult decision to cancel.

The National Shooting Complex will host the 2021 Texas State Championship on April 21-25, 2021, so registrations, deposits, and squadding will roll over to that event. However, if you wish to have your deposit refunded, contact Nicki Bowers, nbowers@nssa-nsca.com, 210-688-3371 ext. 255.

Note that the National Shooting Complex remains open for member and public shooting and for small events. You will find our daily schedule, activities, and open events on our NSC Events Calendar.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate through these unprecedented times. Please stay safe and healthy.
