After building up a large number of students at all different levels of skill and commitment to this game over the past few years, I’ve started to notice a hole in a very specific niche in the instructional aspect of teaching clay target shooting. I’ve slowly started to accumulate a type of student who is fully committed to doing nothing other than increasing their proficiency in shooting and have found myself unable to match their willingness to invest in themselves and their improvement. This type of student doesn’t have to be somebody that wants to win a World Championship, it’s just somebody that is taking on the same role and habits of an athlete that does — regardless of their final end goal in this game or skill level.
I have worked really hard over the last couple of months to develop a system that I know will be able to take somebody wanting to put that level of intensity into their learning style and give them every tool necessary in order to be with them every step of the way. Previously with the business model that I had, I was unable to give that type of person everything that they required. Now, I can.
I am really excited to announce a new level of student membership — Platinum. This level of student is somebody that requires constant communication through their learning process, and a really individualistic and in-depth approach to teaching in a holistic level. The Platinum Membership will be split into two different models. “Platinum Student” which is designed for somebody earlier on in the learning process of this game, and “Platinum Competitor” which is designed for somebody who is in the competition phase of their learning process.
This new level of student membership comes along with a lot of benefits — the ability to utilize 6 free hours of monthly instruction, weekly recorded phone consultations to keep you on track with your practice and performance, an online portal to house all your information and lesson notes, and in-depth video analysis of your lessons and at-home practices, along with much more.
This is something that I’m really passionate about — teaching this game in-depth from start to finish and building people from the ground up into whatever it is that they are wanting to accomplish. Previously I was unable to do that for the most demanding of students because of how chaotic my schedule and incoming communication was, now that has changed.
All of this is going to require a lot of work on my end, it takes a lot of time to build and maintain all of that on the back end, and it’s a lot of time working with each student. This is why I am only going to accept 5 students for this level of membership. I want to do it right. Over time that may grow to a larger number, but for now I want to make it manageable. I am opening up an application process that will last until the end of this calendar year. At the start of the 2020 season, I will be closing the Platinum Membership application process and begin working with the 5 selected individuals.
